Games series that would be great on the Nintendo Switch

Nintendo so far has had really good sales worldwide with the Nintendo Switch and is already starting 2018 strong with a great lineup of games coming out this year plus more potential surprises as other directs and events such as E3 and TGS occur.

Here is a few games series I feel would be right at home on the Nintendo Switch and are perfect for both playing on the big screen and on the go. This is by no means a complete list but more of a list of games that would be a great fit for the Switch, with most of these titles already having had past releases on Nintendo platforms already.

I am open to any other great series that you feel would be a perfect addition for the Switch.

Danganronpa Series

The Danganronpa series has done amazing worldwide and would be right at home on the Switch. They could easily make a collection with Danganronpa 1, 2, Ultra Despair Girls. 3 possibly could be in the collection but it would take a whole cart itself.

Digimon Series

The Digimon games on Vita and PS4 have been well received and would be a great addition to the handheld to tide players over till an eventual Pokemon game releases on the Switch. Both the first Cyber Sleuth and the new one would be a perfect fit for it.

Hyperdimension Neptunia Series

Nintendo has slowly been allowing more fan service and games with cute girls doing cute things so the Hyperdimension Neptunia Series would be a great fit on the Switch. They could easily release 2 collections one with the main one being Neptunia Rebirth 1, 2, 3, Megadimension and Superdimension. The other collection would consist of the two hack and slash games, the idol/managing game and the Noire strategy RPG.

Kingdom Hearts Series

Two previous Kingdom Hearts titles have been released on Nintendo platforms before and both got remastered for the collection on PS3 and PS4, so bringing over the PS4 collection and 3 for Switch would be great. They could even do some sorta Switch exclusive costume or world involving Nintendo characters as well. Would be pretty neat hey?

Persona Series

After a surprise announcement of Shin Megami Tensei I had thought why not bring Persona over to the Switch. A collection with further improved ports of Persona 1 and both Persona 2 games on Switch would great. They could also bring a PS2 Persona collection with the ability to play all 3 versions of Persona 3 and both versions of Persona 4. Ultimately Persona 5 would be perfect to play on the go on Switch with it's great artstyle and terrific music!

Square Enix's older catalogue

Square Enix has a treasure trove of classics that would be right at home on the Switch via either Virtual Console or improved ports. Classic FF games, FF spins offs, and amazing titles like Chrono Trigger and Parasite Eve. Even the new Dissidia would fit well on the Switch to.

Trails of Cold Steel / Sen no Kiseki Series

Trails of Cold Steel / Sen No Kiseki series is a terrific series by Falcom with amazing world, character and story building, intense combat and an amazing soundtrack. The series would be right at home on the Nintendo Switch and even the previous arcs (trails in the sky, zero and aoi) would be great. Further down I mention about YS VIII on Switch so hopefully Falcom bring this to it to!

Vanillaware Games

Vanillaware makes some truly amazing games with beautiful hand-drawn art. Muramasa was on Nintendo Wii and there was an improved port with extra content on Vita so it would be great to get the improved version of Muramasa, Odin Sphere remake, and Dragon's Crown on switch.

Yakuza Series

The Nintendo Wii U had a HD collection of Yakuza 1 and 2 so it's not too far fetched for the rest of the series to make it to Switch. Amazing series that would be great on the go. Yakuza 0, Kiwami 1 and Kiwami 2 for it would be great for people to get into the series. You could even play em while you roam the streets of the real world area of Kabukicho.

 Ys Series

After the Nintendo Mini Direct surprise announcement of YS VIII on Switch yesterday I thought why not bring more Ys games to the switch. The series is terrific as Falcom make some truly amazing games with awesome music so older Ys titles and any eventual new titles would be right at home on the Switch, starting from Origins and the 1 + 2 collection all the way up to Ys 7 and any future titles.
