Parappa Cafe and Merch store

A short distance from the hotel I was staying at in Tokyo, is the massive Tokyo Skytree Tower. Nestled within the area is a surprisingly big area full of shops, cafes and all kinds of stores. There was also a 20th Anniversary Parappa the Rapper cafe and merch store being run as well. I was able to check out both to enjoy a nice lunch and pick up some cool merchandise too.


 Nicely presented Parappa themed menu items which taste as good as they looked.

Parappa Sandwich: While you may think it's just a simple sandwich it actually was amazing. The chicken was done very well and the vegetables with it amounted to one of the best sandwiches I ever had.
Sunny Funny Egg Muffin: Nicely cooked egg with a great amount of yolk with some extra toppings including ham slices cut into flower petals and a side of fries to 

PJ Peanut Butter and Chocolate: A nice sundae style dessert with a good mixture of peanut and chocolate with a cornflake base at the bottom of the cup.
Parappa Mango Sorbet: Nothing too fancy compared to other sorbets but overall tasted great. Has cornflakes down the bottom just like with the previous item.

Almost any Parappa merchandise you could think of can be found here and even an UJL / Milkcan notepad set to.

The merchandise store just next to the cafe was a great way to pick up some new and rare Parappa items. They even had a machine which you could print your name on and choose the character and background for it to. For 500 Yen you could even jump up and down on top of a giant soft PJ plushie like setup. 

There were some TV screens setup around which displayed the new PJ anime and they even had a couple of setups with PS4 consoles running the new Parappa remaster. I myself got quite a few neat rare items there including Parappa chocolates and a cool looking Parappa plushie.

Persona 5 Cafe and Merch Store In Japan

While in Japan I had the chance to visit two of the five Persona 5 cafes as well as the limited time merchandise store as well.  I was able to make two visits to the Osaka cafe branch and one visit to the Ikebukuro cafe branch.  The merch store is located in Ikebukuro and was only 5 minute walk directly west from the cafe. Persona 5 Cafe All items are presented neatly, while some specific menu items have an object that directly references the game. Here are some items I personally enjoyed from the cafes. Food Leblanc Curry: Just the right amount of spiciness, with a nice amount of meat and not an over the top amount of curry sauce. Blended together to make a nice fusion of ingredients with some small cut wedges on top to add an extra nice touch. Tokyo Xanadu Thoughts and Opinions - Vita version with PS4 notes to come later.

While Falcom are a more niche team then most other JRPG developers, they still manage to make some all-round amazing games that are enjoyable. Recently their titles, both new ones and older ones, are slowly coming out in english more and more. After a two years wait, Tokyo Xanadu, a recent title they developed, was released on the PS Vita in English. The PS4 version is to be released later in the year. This review will focus on the Vita version, but once the PS4 version releases and I have finished all the new content, I will add an extra section down the bottom that will give my opinions and thoughts on the changes, additions and overall package of the PS4 edition. I am very much looking forward to it!   This game might share some similarities with Persona but also tries to be its own thing and does it very well.
