5 Animes worth checking out for Q1 2018

Here is a few animes worth checking out for the first anime season of 2018. This list is in unranked and is instead just five animes that you would enjoy.

For the two animes that I suggest with a season 2, it is well worth watching the first season but for the most part those two anime do not require a full 100% understanding of the first season. One of them is related other works under a similar name but for the most part is self contained.

There is many other new animes and continuations of previous animes also occurring this anime season to. Enjoy!

Dagashi Kashi Season 2

Dagashi Kashi is slice of life comedy focused on a group of teenagers in the countryside, and the hijinks they get up to. Most of the episodes revolve around the gang doing stuff together and Hotaru usually causing trouble or munching down a ton of candy and sweets, as one of the main focuses is that the main character and Hotaru both work in similar fields, involving snacks and sweets.

Fate/Extra Last Encore

Fate Extra follows most of the events and general characters and ideas of Fate/Stay but is set in a virtual world with the goal being for a master and servant (who fights and protects the master) to obtain the holy grail, in-order to get a reward of being able to wish for anything they want.

Ito Junji: Collection

Ito Junji is known for making some truly gruesome horror and thriller stories. Now Studio Deen has adapted many of Ito Junji's works into a full anime series brought to life in full colour and high definition. Be sure to turn off the lights and enjoy some scary stories and spooky monsters!

Overlord Season 2

Overload is set in a virtual MMO that was about to be shutdown, when the main character decides to give it one last go and finds himself stuck in the game as a Lich. The show revolves around the mishaps and mayhem him and his subjects get into as the NPC servants have now become lifelike.

Poputepippiku / Pop Team Epic

Pop Team Epic originally started as a 4 panel webcomic and has now been adapted into a full anime series. Now this is quite the unique series as it references and both parodies multiple other animes, video games, memes and other things in a quite hilarious method, using multiple art styles and jokes.
